CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION s12 TCentennial Torch Tour: he eternal flame of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. traveled ap-proximately 24 thousand miles throughout the United States and across international waters in 2013 to commemorate the Sorority’s centen-nial anniversary year. Beginning New by Bernadine Williams Stallings Year’s Day in Los Angeles and culmi-nating in July during the 100-year-old organization’s 51st National Conven-tion in Washington, D.C., the Torch Tour included stops in 22 cities that hold a special place in the heart of the Sorority and its history. The ar-rival of the torch to hometown cities of the Founders, past presidents, and present and past executive board members turned into full weekends of activities celebrating the 100th birthday of Delta Sigma Theta.
