Students participated in workshops geared towards show-casing science as a fun and exciting subject that can lead to numerous career choices in the future. The 22-city Torch Tour not only created a prime opportunity for members – some who may have been unable to travel to D.C. for the Cen-tennial Founders Day Weekend or the 51st National Convention – to cel-ebrate the rich history of the organi-zation in their local communities, but also allowed them to celebrate a cen-tury of service with those same com-munities and show their gratitude for their continued support of Delta’s initiatives. s JOURNAL Spring 2014 13
