PHOTO BY SHARON FARMER For many sorors, national con-vention is a time of reconnect-ing, learning and sisterhood. First-time sorors consider national convention a true moment of a life-time. These women view the week-long mega-event of the biennium as a gateway into “DeltaLand” – meet-ing and connecting with sisters the world over and learning how to con-tinue doing the work of Delta. “The most important part of the convention experience is simply just registering and going,” said Soror Ja-cynthia DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, INC. Carlin of Alpha Tau Chapter. “It’s important for sorors to attend convention because you get to expe-rience Delta on a level greater than your local chapter and region.” Soror Carlin says the lessons learned at convention were invalu-able and she plans to utilize them in Delta in the future. “During the collegiate luncheon, we discussed the issue of struggle and we learned that it’s our respon-sibility to help one another,” said So-
