International President; Chair, Board of Directors

ELSIE COOKE-HOLMES

In February 2022, Elsie Cooke-Holmes was installed as National President and Chair, Board of Directors of
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated for the 2021-2023 biennium after serving as National First Vice President, elected in 2021, and National Secretary from 2017-2021. She joined the Sorority in 1976, in the Epsilon Kappa Chapter at the University of Memphis.

While in college, she was elected National Second Vice President and served as a member of the National Board
of Directors and member, National Scholarship and Standards Committee representing the Sorority’s collegiate members.

She is the first National Second Vice President to serve as National President. Elsie has held numerous leadership positions on Delta’s local, regional and national levels, in addition to her most recent positions. She has served as Eastern Regional Director, Eastern Region member of the National Scholarship and Standards Committee, Co-Chair of the National Leadership Academy, Co-Co-Chair of the National Human Resources Committee, Chair of the Regional Restructuring Task Force, member of the National Program Planning and Development Committee and the National Information and Communications Committee, chapter president of the Westchester Alumnae Chapter and member of the Advisor’s Council of the Pi Lambda Chapter. Elsie is a currently a member of the Dallas Alumnae Chapter where she chaired the Strategic Planning Committee.

National First Vice President

CHERYL W. TURNER

Cheryl W. Turner of Jackson, MS, elected during the 56th National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, serves as the National First Vice President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Prior to this accomplishment, she served two terms as the Southern Regional Director of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, Soror Turner was elected during the Sorority’s 43rd Southern Regional Conference in Memphis, Tennessee, and is the first and only Mississippian to be elected to the position since the inception of Regional Conferences in 1923. As Southern Regional Director, she was responsible for the oversight and management of 215 established chapters in the largest Region of our illustrious organization. Years later, she served the Southern Region again as the Interim Director.

National Second Vice President

SADE RIED

Sadé Ried is a senior at Stanford University studying Mathematical & Computational Science.
She was born and raised in Detroit, MI, where she graduated from Renaissance High School in
2020 as class president and valedictorian. Her commitment to leadership and service led her to
become interested in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, and she was initiated into the
Omicron Chi Chapter in the Spring of 2022.

Her dedication and passion for Delta were further reinforced after attending the Farwest Region Leadership Conference
last fall, where she became interested in becoming involved in Delta on a higher level. At the 56th
National Convention, Sadé was elected as the 36th National Second Vice President.

Sadé is deeply committed to serving Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated with excellence as
the National Second Vice President. Her determination, leadership skills, and diligence will
undoubtedly propel her to make a significant impact on the sorority.

National Secretary

JOI L. MOORE, Ph.D.

Dr. Joi L. Moore is a Golden Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and has numerous chapter, regional, and national leadership experiences. She was initiated into the Mu Omicron Chapter at North Carolina State University and is currently a member of the Columbia MO Alumnae chapter, where she served as Chapter President. National roles include National Secretary, Chair of the National Leadership Academy Committee, Chair of the 2015 National Nominating Committee, and Co-Chair of the National Grow with Google Ad-hoc Committee.

Dr. Moore is a visionary community servant committed to helping others learn and lead successfully. She serves as the Associate Dean of Engagement and Outreach in the College of Education and as a Professor in the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri. Also, she is a faculty member of the MU Institute for Data Science & Informatics and an Affiliated Faculty in the Black Studies Department.

National Treasurer

ROSALYN L. GLENN

Rosalyn L. Glenn was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in November 1988 through the Iota Chi Chapter at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. She is a charter member of Richland County Alumnae Chapter in Columbia, SC. She has served in various capacities since her initiation on the local, regional, and national levels. She was elected to represent the South Atlantic Region as the Member of the National Finance Committee from 2016 to 2020. She was also appointed to serve on the National Strategic Planning Committee and at the 56th National Convention, she was elected to serve as National Treasurer.

As an entrepreneur, Rosalyn is the President/ CEO of Destiny Wealth Advisors & Consulting, LLC. She is a registered investment advisor with Pruco Securities and in these capacities, she assists individuals, businesses, churches, and nonprofit organizations in developing strategies to ensure their financial stability and sustainability.
